Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Hilley played third base in the last game of the 1903 season for the Philadelphia Athletics. He went 1 for 3 with a walk.
The regular third baseman that year for the team was Lave Cross, who was 37. Cross continued to play regularly at third in 1904 and 1905.
Hilley played in the minors between 1900 and 1911. During most of 1903 he was with Utica.
