Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Hanyzewski, from Indiana, was at the University of Notre Dame from 1939 to 1941 and by 1942 was in the majors. He spent five years with the Chicago Cubs, from 1942 to 1946.
Hanyzewski also played for the Milwaukee Brewers in the minors, going 7-2 in 1942 and 5-1 in 1943.
After his baseball days he became a policeman in Fort Wayne, IN.
