Biographical Information

Ed Gunning pitched in the Baltimore Orioles minor league system from 1955 to 1957. He went 4-3 with a 3.72 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) for the Cordele Orioles in 1955. In 1956, he was 14-9 with a 2.74 ERA in 29 games (23 starts) for the Thomson Orioles, walking 128 batters in 184 innings. On June 7 of that year, he tossed a no-hitter against the Hazlehurst-Baxley Tigers, winning 14-2. He was 1-2 in 10 games in 1957.

Overall, Gunning went 19-14.
