Biographical Information

Pitcher Ed Greer never came to the majors, but won at least 284 games in the minors. Stats are not complete, so it is possible he won over 300.

Greer had at least nine seasons with the Denver Bears, winning in double figures seven times with them. Afterwards, he was only with the Houston Buffaloes for one year, but he went 22-10 with them. Later, he had seven seasons with the Ft. Worth Cats, winning in double figures five times. At age 38, he was 22-11 for the Cats, while teammate Firpo Marberry, at age 40, went 13-9. Ed was still pitching in the minors at the age of 45.
