Edward Charles Goeckel

Biographical Information[edit]

Ed Goeckel was an umpire in the inaugural season of the Federal League in 1914, working a full season of 135 games. However, like many of his colleagues, he was let go after the season, as the league was unsatisfied with the high number of umpiring controversies that had marred its season.
