Ed Cihocki played 34 games for the Philadelphia Athletics between 1932 and 1933, backing up Dib Williams at shortstop in the latter year. He hit just .143 in 98 at bats. The A's had just come off winning the pennant three straight years from 1929 to 1931 and were still above average in 1932 and 1933, before dipping under .500 for more than a decade after that. Ed also played for Harrisburg, Syracuse, Albany, and Birmingham as well as three seasons with Los Angeles in the minors.
