The Eau Claire Puffs represented Eau Claire, WI in the 1909 Minnesota-Wisconsin League. After a strong season, they finished second at 62-57, three and a half games behind the Duluth White Sox. The Puffs had the league's #2 contact hitter, Bailey (.308, 42 SB), while Frank Nicholson (8-2) had the best winning percentage of any pitcher. One pitcher, Morrow, got purchased by a higher team, the Quincy Vets. In 1910 they became the Eau Claire Commissioners
