Biographical Information[edit]
Earl Kunz pitched in the PCL between 1920 and 1930, taking 1923 off to pitch in the majors for the 1923 Pirates. He won over 100 games in the PCL.
Through 2008, he and Eddie Kunz are the only major leaguers with the last name Kunz (and Eddie broke in during 2008).
Earl was the same age as teammate Pie Traynor on the Pirates.
