Biographical Information[edit]
Earl Allen, sometimes also called Bob Allen, pitched 3 games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1937. He had been purchased from the Chicago Cubs organization.
He was presumably nicknamed "Thin Man" because he was 6'1" and 165 lbs., and because the movie The Thin Man had come out in 1934 and its sequel After The Thin Man had been released in 1936.
