Biographical Information

Australian catcher Dylan Child signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates in July 2009. He made his pro debut with the GCL Pirates on June 23, 2010, going 0 for 3 with a walk and a run. He played in the Pirates system until 2012, but always for the Gulf Coast League affiliate. In 59 games, he hit .192 with no homers and 9 RBIs.

He then played two seasons for the Adelaide Bite in the Australian Baseball League in 2012-13 and 2013-14. He did not hit much better Down Under, with a .203 batting average in 25 games.
