Biographical Information[edit]
Ducky Yount pitched 13 games for the Baltimore Terrapins of the Federal League in 1914. He also pitched eight seasons in the minors.
Yount was born in North Carolina in 1885 four days before his contemporary, pitcher Fred Anderson. Yount was in the 1907 Cotton States League where he won 18 games. In the season before he came to the majors, he was the star pitcher for the 1913 New Bedford Whalers, a team which also featured the young Tommy Griffith.
