Biographical Information[edit]
Doug Neff played for the Washington Senators in 1914 and 1915. He didn't come far from home, since he was born in Harrisonburg, VA, less than 150 miles from Washington, D.C..
Neff attended the University of Virginia in 1911 and 1912, at the same time that Eppa Rixey was there.
The university library has a number of photos of Neff while he was there.
There were a couple of other players named Neff at the time who played in Nebraska, Clyde Neff and Clint Neff, but they are apparently no relation.
