Biographical Information[edit]

Doug Laumann was Director of Scouting for the Chicago White Sox from 2001 to 2003 and returned to that post in June 2007.

Laumann was a pitcher at University of Dayton, graduating in 1980. He was a bird-dog for Philadelphia Phillies scout Tony Lucadello in 1981. Laumann was then an area scout for the Chicago Cubs in 1981-1990. He then moved to the White Sox as an area scout until 1992, a scouting supervisor in 1993-1996, and national crosschecker in 1997-2000. Between his stints as scouting director, Laumann was a special assignment scout from 2004 to 2007.
