Doug Kovash

Biographical Information[edit]

Doug Kovash has been a college coach.

Kovash was All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as a senior pitcher. He then got a master's at Miami University and was a graduate assistant there. He was 35-30 as head coach of Susquehanna University from 1989-1990, then was 60-61 at Emory University from 1991-1993; Emory had not fielded a team for 100 years before Kovash restarted their program.

Kovash then was head coach of Presbyterian College from 1994-2004, going 320-284-2. He then became an assistant coach after 17 years as a head coach, joining the Birmingham-Southern College as pitching coach in 2005. He then held the same role at the University of Alabama-Birmingham from 2007-2009. In 2014, he took over as head coach of Lawson State Community College for 2 years, then was head coach at Central Alabama Community College in 2016.
