Biographical Information[edit]
Dorothy Harrell played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League for nine seasons from 1944 to 1952 as the starting shortstop for the Rockford Peaches. She was an All-Star in 1947 and hit .251 with 58 RBIs the next year. Overall, she hit .228 with 306 RBIs and 299 stolen bases in 799 games.
Following her playing days, Harrell spent many years as a teacher. She died in 2011 at age 87.
