Biographical Information[edit]
Donny Harrel has been a college coach.
Harrel was drafted in the 18th round of the 1990 amateur draft by the Kansas City Royals. He played in 1990 and 1991 as a catcher and first baseman in the Kansas City Royals chain, slashing .228/.300/.329 in 477 plate appearances.
Harrel spent time as an assistant coach at the junior college ranks before becoming head coach. He was 220-90 at Lane Community College from 1997-2003 then was an assistant coach at Oregon State University (2004). From 2005-2008, he was an assistant at the University of Washington. He was then hired to restart the Seattle University baseball program. He increased the win total from 2010 to 2011 (21) to 2012 (23).
