Lee debuted in the KBO with the 2001 LG Twins, going 4-6 with a 5.37 ERA. He pitched for South Korea in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, allowing one run in one inning before the semifinals, when he tossed five shutout innings against the Dominican Republic.
In 2002, Lee went 8-3 with 7 saves and a 2.67 ERA in 78 games for the Twins. He faded to 4-10, 4.05 in 2003. In 2004, he bounced back with a 1-3 record, 12 saves and a 2.87 ERA, giving up only one homer in 53 1/3 IP.
Lee did not pitch in 2005-2008, presumably due to either injury or military service, but returned to the diamond in 2009.
