Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Don Lassetter came to the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1957. Also in 1957, Don hit 27 home runs for the Omaha Cardinals of the American Association.
Though he was only with the Cardinals for the one season, he was in spring training with them for several years.
He was at the University of Georgia at the same time as Jim Umbricht. After them, it would be 20 years before another University of Georgia player broke into the majors.
According to Lassetter, he was actually born in 1932, not 1933.
