Biographical Information[edit]

Don Hutson was the premier pass receiver in the National Football League for the Green Bay Packers, 1935-1945. He led in receptions 8 years, scoring 5 years. Hutson was a charter member of Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Listed a s Don Hutchinson, he spent 1936 in St. Louis Cardinals' system with Pine Bluff Judges in class C Cotton States League. He hit .312 with 95 runs and 25 SB. In 1937 he spent 14 games in the class A New York-Pennsylvania League before moving down to the class B Southeastern League. There he split 48 games between the Selma Cloverleafs and the Jackson Senators. He hit .297 with 38 runs and 13 SB. All told, in 194 minor league games, Hutson hit .301 with 140 runs, 14 3B, and 41 SB.
