Biographical Information[edit]
Don Ellison was on Team USA when they won Silver in the 1972 Amateur World Series. He signed with the New York Mets and hit .268/.353/.330 for the 1973 Marion Mets with more walks (24) than whiffs (15). On the mound, he was 1-2 with a 4.80 ERA in five games. He fielded .984 as their main first baseman. It was his lone season as a pro.
