First baseman Dominic Keegan hit .371/.458/.646 with 14 home runs and 67 RBI in 62 games for Vanderbilt University in 2022. That prompted the Tampa Bay Rays to draft him in the 4th round of the 2022 amateur draft; his signing bonus was $397,500. He had previously been taken by the New York Yankees in the 19th round of the 2021 amateur draft. In his first professional campaign, 2022, he hit .325/.413/.575 with 2 home runs and 11 RBI in 12 games between the FCL Rays and Charleston RiverDogs.
