Biographical Information[edit]

Doll Derr umpired one season in the National League, in 1923, working a total of 28 games. However, he had a long career as a professional umpire. From Maryland, he first appeared in the Potomac League in 1916. From 1919 to 1927, he was an umpire in the International League. He was in the American Association in 1928, then returned to the IL from 1929 to 1931.

He was found beaten to death in his car in Baltimore, MD on October 12, 1970.
