Biographical Information[edit]
Dimitrios Douros was one of the two players from the Greek Baseball League who played for the first Greek national team; a US native, he hit .714 in the 2002 European Championship B Pool. He did not play in the 2003 European Championship but was with Greece for the 2004 Olympics, striking out against Masahide Kobayashi in his lone at-bat. He was with Greece in the 2005 European Championship, hitting .074/.107/.074 with 2 runs and 2 RBI in 8 games. He fielded .852, splitting 2B and 3B with Georgios Lempesis and also pitching one game (3 IP, 8 H, 6 BB, 11 R, 6 ER, 2 K).
