Biographical Information[edit]
Dick Zender spent three years in the minor leagues.
He played for the Vancouver Capilanos in 1942, hitting .259 in seven games. After missing 1943 to 1945 to World War II - he served in the Navy - Zender returned with Vancouver in 1946, hitting .182 in 14 games (33 at-bats). In 1948, he played for the Fresno Cardinals and Allentown Cardinals, hitting .275 with four home runs in 92 games. Overall, he hit .265 in 113 games.
He was one of the Zender brothers.
