Biographical Information[edit]

Deshaun Brooks spent two seasons in the minor leagues.

Brooks led NCAA Division II with 18 homers in 2005-2006. The next year, the senior computer science major hit .446. The Boston Red Sox took him in the 26th round of the 2007 amateur draft, the first player drafted from Benedict College in 11 years.

Brooks hit .208/.286/.307 as a DH-1B with the 2007 Lowell Spinners. Back with Lowell in 2008, the St. Thomas native batted .248/.290/.342 as a part-timer at first base. He played for the Virgin Islands in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
