Biographical Information[edit]
Derek Legg has been a college coach.
Legg is the nephew of former minor leaguer Steve Hazlett. [1] His brother Cody died while serving in Iraq when Derek was a teenager. [2] Derek hit .413 as a high school senior [3] and .193/.327/.216 as a college junior at CSU Fullerton. Transferring to Corban, he led the team in several offensive categories and was named the school's Male Athlete of the Year. [4]
He was assistant coach at Corban from 2014-2017 then head coach from 2018-2022. [5]
