Biographical Information

Denny Gonzalez managed the Dominican national team to the Gold Medal in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. It was their first title in a major international tourney since the same event in 1982. He also managed the Dominicans when they finished first in the 2010 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament. His efforts leading the team did not pan out as well in the 2011 Baseball World Cup (3-4) or 2011 Pan American Games (2-2). He coached for the Dominican Republic when they won the 2013 World Baseball Classic then returned to the managerial reigns for a Bronze Medal at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games. He guided the Dominicans to 3-3 in the 2015 Pan American Games.

Gonzalez has scouted for the Chicago White Sox and run the Sox' Dominican Academy. He signed Pedro Lopez, Fautino de los Santos, Arnie Muñoz, Fabio Castro, and Salvador Sanchez among others.
