Biographical Information

Dayán García has been an infielder in the Cuban Serie Nacional.

García hit .295/.354/.385 and fielded .956 as 2B/3B for La Habana. in 2008-2009. He batted .321/.362/.451 and fielded .988 in 2009-2010. He tied for 5th in the Serie Nacional in runs (65) and led the league with double-play grounders (21). During 2010-2011, he produced at a .344/.395/.487 clip with 20 doubles, fielding .976, while playing primarily 2B (and some 3B). In 2011-2012, he played for Artemisa (La Habana having split into two) and hit .322/.375/.500 with 22 doubles, while fielding .976 again.
