Biographical Information

Outfielder David Thomas attended Catawba College, where he hit .435 with 22 home runs as a senior. He is the school's career leader in hits (344) and runs (281). In 2009 Catawba retired Thomas' #7 [1]. He was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 14th round of the 2008 amateur draft and played three seasons in their organization. He then spent two years with the Grand Prairie AirHogs in the independent American Association.
