Biographical Information[edit]
David Schuman played one season of pro ball. He was undrafted. The Baltimore Orioles signed him and he hit .300/.402/.400 for the 1979 Bluefield Orioles. He was 9th in the Appalachian League in average, 7 points ahead of Paul Runge, and led the league with 5 triples. His 6 times hit by pitch tied Harold Williams for the lead. He fielded .968 in the outfield. He joined Rob Teegarden and Jim Christensen as the Appalachian League All-Star outfielders. Despite an All-Star season, that was the end of his career in professional baseball.
