Biographical Information[edit]
David Sawicki was a college coach.
He was 5-1 with a 1.89 ERA for Seton Hall in 1993. He led the Big East Conference in ERA, .82 ahead of future major leaguer C.J. Nitkowski. David Herr was named Big East Pitcher of the Year, though. He was a college staffmate of Matt Morris. He was assistant coach at FDU-Madison from 1995-1997. From 1999-2000, he was head coach of New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was the first head coach of Centenary College and was there from 2002-2008, going 142-100-1. He died after a long illness.
