Biographical Information[edit]
David Holdridge pitched one scoreless inning for Team USA in the 1999 Pan American Games, helping them qualify for the 2000 Olympics.
In his one major league season, he had a lower era than Randy Johnson. He and Johnson were teammates on the Seattle Mariners in 1998, which had a team ERA of 4.95. Johnson had an ERA of 4.33 while Holdridge posted a 4.05 ERA.
Holdridge started in the minors in 1988 with the California Angels and after a few years with the Philadelphia Phillies came back to spend most of his minor league career with the Angels before spending some time in the Mariners organization. He was a starter through 1993 and thereafter a reliever.
