Biographical Information[edit]

David Brito played for the VSL Cardinals from 2006-2008. During his career, he had a 9-7 record with 4 saves and an ERA of 3.22. Brito played in 58 games, all but one of them in relief.

From 2009 through late 2014, Brito worked in a number of baseball-related roles. He became an international area scout for the Houston Astros in November 2014 and stayed in that role for about 15 months before being promoted to a scouting supervisor position. He was the scout who first brought pitcher Framber Valdez to the attention of the Astros.

Brito moved to the Seattle Mariners organization in late 2017 and serves as an International Crosschecker for the team as of 2023.

There is another David Brito who is a pitching coach in the Oakland Athletics organization.
