Biographical Information

David Barry played club baseball while earning a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in operations research and business analytics in 2018. While still in college Barry gained baseball related experience as a finance intern for the Houston Astros in the summer of 2017 and as a baseball operations analyst with the Hoosiers during the 2018 season. After graduation, Barry also worked as scout for the College Baseball Scouting Network for six months.

The Baltimore Orioles in 2019 hired Barry as a technology coordinator for the Delmarva Shorebirds. They promoted him to development coach of the Frederick Keys in 2020 before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Barry was development coach of Delmarva in 2021. The Orioles promoted Barry to Player Development Analyst for Hitting in 2022 and he continued in this role in 2023. His colleague on the pitching side was Adam Schuck.
