Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Shury was a Canadian baseball executive.
A lawyer, Shury helped form the Saskatchewan Baseball Association in 1955. He was secretary of the Canadian Federation of Amateur Baseball and helped organize the first Team Canada, for the 1967 Pan American Games. He was named the first life member of Baseball Canada, in 1972. He founded the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and wrote books about the history of baseball in Saskatchewan. Shury accomplished all this despite multiple sclerosis that left him wheelchair-bound for 40 years. He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2002.
