Dave Scobey played baseball and basketball in college, then became an official. He worked 12 major bowl games in football and was Vice Mayor of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County from 1971-1994, working under four different mayors. He coached baseball at Vanderbilt from 1949-1951 and 1954-1956, going 43-75-2.
