Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Schmotzer has won over 600 games as a college coach.
Schmotzer played baseball and basketball in college. He coached Trinity High School for five years then was assistant coach at Texas Christian University from 1980-1989 then was head coach of Union College, setting a school record with 36 wins his final year. He then moved on to Coker College as their first head coach. He was 624-493-2 before retiring at the end of 2016, taking the school to the 1994 NAIA World Series in only its second year on the field. He later guided Coker to the 2013 Division II College World Series.
