Dave Karaff

Dave Karaff coached Hickman Mills High School for almost 20 years. He scouted for the Seattle Mariners (1987-1994) and St. Louis Cardinals (1997-2003), signing Cowboy Helton, John Nelson and Albert Pujols. Despite being the signing scout for Pujols, Pujols later expressed anger at Karaff, saying that Karaff told him he would never make the majors. By the time Pujols and the Cards were playing in the 2006 World Series, Karaff was stocking shelves at a Wal-Mart.
