Dauvray Cup
The Dauvray Cup was a trophy that was to be given to the first three-time winner of the World's Series after 1887. The cup was donated by actress Helen Dauvray, the wife of New York Giants shortstop John Ward, in 1887. The Giants were the first team to win two titles (1888, 1889) but turmoil between the leagues in 1890 and 1891 resulted in the end of postseason play between the leagues. The cup has since been lost.
