Biographical Information[edit]

Reliever Daryl Moore pitched in the Baltimore Orioles system from 1989 to 1992 and in independent ball in 1995. He briefly peaked at Triple-A, but never ascended to the majors. He was signed as an undrafted free agent.

After a down initial campaign, he had three straight seasons of success. In 1993, he had 12 saves and a 2.47 ERA in 36 games, while striking out 72 batters in 54 2/3 innings, for the Wausau Timbers. The next year, between two clubs, he was 6-4 with a 2.15 ERA in 56 games between two clubs, striking out 91 batters in 79 2/3 innings. He reached Triple-A for the first and only time in 1992, posting a 2.95 ERA in 16 appearances for the Rochester Red Wings; he had a 3.00 ERA in 21 games on the year as a whole. After not playing in 1993 and 1994, he returned in the independent Texas-Louisiana League in 1995, posting a 3.94 ERA in 36 games.

Overall, Moore went 15-20 with a 3.25 ERA in 161 games (10 starts) over five seasons. In 249 innings, he allowed 208 hits and 99 walks (1.233 WHIP), while striking out 259 batters.
