Biographical Information[edit]

Dary Bartolomé is a first baseman. He debuted for the Camagüey Potters in 2007-2008, hitting .281/.377/.487 as a rookie. In 2008-2009, Bartolomé's batting line fell to .258/.343/.430.

In the offseason, Camagüey's starting 1B Leslie Anderson left Cuba, leaving Dary with the starting job. He responded well, hitting .269/.342/.560 with 20 home runs and 68 RBI in 76 games. While he did not crack the Cuban Serie Nacional's top 10 in homers, he did tie the franchise home run record, held by Miguel Caldés for 15 years. One drawback was 83 strikeouts in 275 at-bats, leading the Serie Nacional by 20 over Joan Carlos Pedroso.
