Darren Welch

Darren Welch played for the Australian national team in the 1988 Olympics as a teenager. His son Stefan Welch would later represent Australia in the World Baseball Classic. Darren only played briefly in the Australian Baseball League, allowing six walks and four runs in 5 1/3 IP for the 1989-1990 Adelaide Giants and going 1-0. He returned for nine games in 1991-1992, walking 16 in 16 1/3 IP and going 1-1 with a 6.38 ERA.
