Darren Heath played two years in the minors. A native of England, Heath moved to the USA when he was 9 years old. After college, he played for the British national team in the 2003 European Championship, hitting .333/.385/.333 with 5 runs in 6 games as one of the team's top performers. Heath stole 3 bases in 3 tries.
Moving on to pro baseball, Darren hit .286/?/.306 in 23 games for the 2004 Chillicothe Paints. In 2005, he batted .208/.256/.240 in 43 games for Chillicothe and stole 7 bases in 9 tries before breaking his wrist in July.
Heath hit .294/.316/.294 in 5 games in the 2007 European Championship, as a part-time center fielder for Great Britain, which won Silver for the second time ever.
Outside of baseball, Heath has been involved with a hip-hop group in Sacramento, CA.
