Biographical Information[edit]

Daniel Rosell has played in France and for the French national team.

Rosell hit .295/.371/.397 for the Clermont-Ferrand Arvernes in 2021, his French Division I debut, fielding .956. His 54 assists were one shy of league leader Felix Brown. [1] In '22, he was at .333/.410/.403 with 17 RBI in 18 games for La Rochelle Boucaniers, fielding .900. [2] He also spent time playing college ball in the US, with a .245/.298/.302 batting line for La Sierra University.

He played one game for France in the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, pinch-hitting for Mael Zan late in a loss to the Czech national team and singling off Michal Kovala. [3] He was the lone Cuban-born player on France's team, which had in past qualifiers had key contributors from Cuba like Leonel Cespedes and Ernesto Martínez.
