Biographical Information[edit]
Daniel Howard pitched in the US and Belgium.
He split 2007 between the Anderson Joes (2-1, 4.05, 41 K in 40 IP) and Chico Outlaws (1-2, 6.45). He excelled in 2008 for Belgium's Antwerp Royal Greys, going 10-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 134 K in 95 2/3 IP. He led the First Division in ERA (.77 ahead of Terrence Antonacci), was second in strikeouts (21 behind Dennis van Hoof) and tied for 3rd in wins (behind van Hoof and Antonacci). In the 2008 European Cup, he was 1-1 with a 1.20 ERA, losing a duel to Linc Mikkelsen and Montepaschi Grosseto but beating Tornado Balashikha and former major leaguer Pat Ahearne.
In 2009, he pitched for the River City Rascals (6-5, 5.03). He was with the Greys for the 2009 European Cup and was 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA, losing to the L&D Amsterdam Pirates.
