Dan Taylor has been a college coach.

Taylor was a 1B-OF in college and in a 15-year semipro playing career. He was 160-77 as head coach of Frederick Community College from 1997-2002. He won three Maryland Junior College Coach of the Year honors in that time. He took the team to second place in the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series. In 2003, he became head coach of Mars Hill College. He set school records for wins in a season (26, 2005 and 32, 2006) and career (164 through 2010). He left Mars Hill after the 2012 season.
