Biographical Information[edit]

The son of Diego Segui, nephew of minor leaguer Dario Segui, brother of David Segui, and uncle of Cory Segui, Dan Segui was selected by the New York Mets in the 47th round of the 1987 amateur draft. He played four seasons in the minors and never reached the majors. He played third base and second base, and topped out in A Ball. His best season came in 1989 with the Pittsfield Mets of the New York-Penn League where he hit .276 in 59 games with 32 runs scored.
