Biographical Information[edit]
Dan Miceli came close to setting the major league record for being well traveled. Over the course of his career, Dan pitched for ten different major league teams, none of which are the team he was originally signed by (the Kansas City Royals). In 2003, he tied the major league record by appearing with four different teams during the season (this has now been topped by Oliver Drake, who was with five different teams in 2018).
He also pitched in Japan, appearing in four games for the Yomiuri Giants in 2005. He was a member of the Italian national team at the 2006 World Baseball Classic.
