Biographical Information[edit]
Dan Gladden has the rare distinction of setting a career high in home runs in his final season; he hit 13 with the Detroit Tigers in 1993. Since 2000, he has been a radio broadcaster for the Minnesota Twins.
He hit a grand slam off Bob Forsch of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 4th inning of Game 1 of the 1987 World Series; the Twins went on to win the game, 10-1.
Gladden's brother, Jeff Gladden, was a minor league pitcher for the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants in 1980-1984.
