Biographical Information[edit]
Dan Daniel was a New York, NY sportswriter for more than 60 years, having started his career with the New York Herald in 1909. He was at one time president of the Baseball Writers' Association of America and was a member of baseball's rules committee. Daniel won the J.G. Taylor Spink Award in 1972.
Although he primarily wrote about baseball, Daniel also reported on football, and helped found a boxing magazine, Ring Magazine.
